Cherokee County Emergency Personnel responded to the area of Northeast 50th and Highway 103, east of Weir, at approximately 4:35 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.

The preliminary investigation indicates a westbound 2016 Chevy Equinox left the roadway and entered a body of water.

The driver, and sole occupant, 45  year-old Mindi Sue Uber, of Weir, was pronounced dead at the scene.
