Friday Morning Crash Claims Two Lives

Emergency personnel were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash at NW 100th and Highway 160, west of Columbus at 9:59 a.m. Friday morning.

The preliminary investigation conducted by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, indicates a 2014 Harley Davidson motorcycle was westbound on Highway 160 when a 2007 Pontiac passenger car pulled onto the highway and the two vehicles collided. 

The operator of the motorcycle, 42 year old David Brewer and his passenger, 41 year old Stacey Brewer, both of Riverton, were wearing their helmets, but died due to injuries sustained in the crash.

The driver of the Pontiac, 20 year old Cheyenne Hartman of Columbus, was not injured.
