Additional Vehicle Being Sought in Connection to McFarland Murder

Cherokee County Investigators are asking the public for assistance in locating a brown or maroon 1992 Chevrolet G20 Sport Van with Oklahoma License Plate 737QAM.

On April 23rd, Ty Bohlander was driving the van on Rangeline Road in Joplin, Missouri.  Days later, the body of James McFarland was discovered in rural Cherokee County.

Ty Bohlander and his mother, Diana, are both being sought on outstanding warrants for First Degree Murder in connection to the case.

Investigators believe the suspects abandoned the van in the Joplin / Cherokee County area, and fled west through Aurora, Colorado and Cheyenne, Wyoming in a 1994 Chevy Camaro with Oklahoma License Plate CZR875.  The Camaro has a “punisher” decal on the back glass.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Diana and / or Ty Bohlander are encouraged to contact investigators with the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office at 620-429-3992, 620-848-3000 or you can submit an anonymous tip by text message.  Just text the number 888777.  In the subject area, type ‘tip cherokee’ followed by whatever information you can provide.
