Two Arrested In Riverton Drug Raid

Following an investigation into alleged illegal activity at 6924 Southeast 72nd Terrace in Riverton, the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office raided the house late Thursday night.

During the course of their investigation, deputies seized suspected methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia items. 

The two residents, 28 year-old Jason Upton and 25 year-old Leigha Kinslow were arrested at the scene and transported to the Cherokee County Jail.  In addition, a 2 year-old child who was home at the time of the warrant execution, was taken into protective custody.

Both suspects are being held in the Cherokee County Jail in lieu of $16,000.00 bond, on allegations of Possessing Methamphetamine, Possessing Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia and Child Endangerment.
