Two men will soon begin serving their time in the Kansas Department of Corrections after being sentenced on unrelated drug cases.
Chad Wade Hallam, 48, formerly of Columbus, was handed down a 42 month prison sentence for Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute. After failing to appear in court earlier this year, Hallam was located in Colorado to face the charges, which stemmed from a July, 2014 investigation.
Also sentenced recently was 39 year-old Jesse R. Hamm, of Weir. Hamm was given 6 and 1/2 years in prison for Possessing Precursor Chemicals with Intent to Manufacture Methamphetamine, which stemmed from a 2013 traffic stop conducted in Scammon by Cherokee County Sheriff’s Deputies.
