Multiple Arrests Made in Drug Raid

Just before 9:00 a.m. on Friday, February 5th, 2016, the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and Galena Police Department executed a search warrant at 2020 Galena Avenue in Galena.

The search warrant stemmed from an ongoing narcotics investigation and during the course of the search, detectives discovered suspected methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Arrested at the scene were Mickey Scott Wittenmyer, 46, of the home. Wittenmyer is being held in lieu of $10,000.00 bond on allegations of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Dakota Boone Wittenmyer, 24, was also arrested on 5 outstanding warrants for his arrest issued by Baxter Springs Municipal Court.

As part of the investigation, a traffic stop was also conducted, which led to the driver, 27 year-old Autumn Marie Wagner being taken into custody on allegations of possessing of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Wagner posted $4,000.00 bond and has since been released.

Investigators are continuing this investigation and additional arrests are anticipated.
