Suspects Sought Following Shooting

Just after to 7:00 p.m. on December 1, 2015, the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office received a report of shots fired north of Galena. When law enforcement arrived, they learned a physical altercation had occurred, where the victim was struck multiple times and his cell phone was stolen. As the victim attempted to escape, one of the suspects allegedly shot at him multiple times. Although the vehicle was struck, the victim was not injured and was able to get away.
As a result of the investigation, three suspects have been identified. One suspect, Megan Channel, 32, of Galena was arrested on December 3rd on a warrant for Robbery and Aggravated Battery. She has since been released after posting $30,000.00 bond.
Authorities are still searching for James Joseph Livingston, 34 of the Galena area, who is wanted for Attempted First Degree Murder and Aggravated Battery. Also wanted is Carlos Joseph Blake Gandy, 30 of Galena, on charges of Aggravated Battery.
