Just before 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 9th, 2013, the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office was notified of a motorcycle parked behind an unoccupied house in northern Cherokee County.

Deputies arrived minutes later and discovered two people exiting the home, with property they were allegedly attempting to steal.

Arrested at the scene were 34 year-old Travis Roberts and Jenny Stephenson, 35, both of Pittsburg, Kansas.

Both suspects are currently in custody on allegations of burglary, theft and criminal damage to property.

The investigation is ongoing and all suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
