School Year Safety

08/09/2012

With the start of a new school year right around the corner, the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office would like to remind area motorists to be cautious and alert while driving.

This year may be the first year for many kids to walk to and from school, ride their bicycles, or wait for the school bus.

In their excitement, they may not be watching for motorists, so we all need to be sure to watch for them in order to ensure their safety.

The Sheriff’s Office also reminds area drivers to stop at the school bus stop sign when it is extended and the red lights are flashing.
