Raid Lands Three In Custody

Just after 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 28, 2011, the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office along with agents from the Southeast Kansas Drug Enforcement Task Force executed a search warrant at the Racers Edge Motocross Track, just west of the Baxter Springs City Limits.
During the course of the search, investigators discovered chemicals in various stages of the methamphetamine manufacturing process, along with suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia items.
Three suspects, Kimberly Chapman, 27, of Joplin, Missouri; James A. Croft, 25, of Neosho, Missouri and Josh W. Kimball, 19, of Seneca, Missouri were all taken into custody and transported to the Cherokee County Jail.
All three suspects have been ordered detained in lieu of $100,000.00 bond by an 11th Judicial District Judge for Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Possession of Precursor Chemicals with Intent to Manufacture Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Additional arrests in this case are expected.
