Nearly $102,000.00 Awarded to the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office

The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office joined 4,590 other law enforcement agencies from across the United States earlier this year in a competitive application process for a Federal COPS Grant.
Of those 4,590 applications only 379 grants were awarded.
The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to announce that our agency was one that has been selected for funding.
The grant, totaling nearly $102,000.00 will provide 100% funding for an additional deputy for three years with Cherokee County obligated to fund the position for a fourth year.
Because of these funds, the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office will be able to progress and provide more effective and efficient services to the citizens we are honored to serve.
