Jeremey Shrout

Jeremy Shrout, age 40, of Baxter Springs was sentenced to 50 years of imprisonment during a sentencing hearing held earlier today in Cherokee County District Court.

In November, a jury found Shrout guilty on three counts of rape and one count of aggravated indecent liberties with a child between 2019 and 2021.

Shrout is being held in the Cherokee County Jail pending transfer to the Kansas Department of Corrections.
